Dubai isn’t a cheap destination, but you can save a lot on your trip if you choose to visit in the off-season, from May to September. Flights, accommodation and even some attractions are significantly cheaper. But how do you enjoy a city where temperatures top 40°C? We’ve created a summer itinerary for Dubai that takes you from the air conditioning to the beach and back to the air conditioning.

Before you fly: The currency in the UAE is the dirham (AED).
Credit cards are widely accepted, and ATMs are easy to find.
A Summer Itinerary for Dubai
The itinerary starts on your first full day in the city. You can spend your first half-day in Dubai relaxing by the pool or on the hotel beach, and in the evening go out to a good restaurant in town.

In the evening you can watch Dubai’s famous fountains, Bellagio-in-Las-Vegas style, at the foot of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. A must for everyone.
Day 2: Water Park and Aura Pool
Dubai is full of water parks, perfect for a summer vacation! Among the most recommended are the famous Atlantis water park, LEGOLAND Water Park and Wild Wadi Water Park. Each of these parks can fill a whole day.
Guests of Atlantis, The Palm (the park’s hotel) get free tickets to the water park.
Day 3: Mall of the Emirates and the Dubai Frame
We’ll start the last day of the trip with a visit to the Mall of the Emirates. A mall is always a great experience on a hot day, especially when it covers 233,467 square meters and offers a range of attractions, including wintry ones like skiing. The mall also has a mini amusement park with video games, a cinema, bowling, a theater and more.
How do you get to the Mall of the Emirates? By metro: take the Red Line to Mall of the Emirates station.
You can’t leave Dubai without visiting another of its symbols, the Dubai Frame. A huge, intriguing structure that draws many tourists in Dubai: a unique building in the shape of a picture frame, rising 150 meters, which stands between new Dubai and old Dubai.
In the Frame you go up in a fast glass panoramic elevator, 48 floors in 75 seconds, with views of the city on every side all the way up. On the top floor you can walk across a transparent glass bridge with a great view of the city beneath you (not for anyone afraid of heights).

More Ways to Spend a Summer in Dubai
There are plenty more options for summer fun in Dubai: choose according to your preferences:
- One of the most popular attractions in Dubai is a jeep or buggy tour of the dunes. In summer, when the heat rises, I recommend a jeep tour rather than buggies, just make sure with the driver that the vehicle has air conditioning! You can find on our portal local guides who run jeep tours in Dubai.
- Helicopter flight over Dubai: a helicopter flight of 12 to 25 minutes (depending on the ticket you choose), flying over the Burj Al Arab and the Dubai coastline. Each aircraft has 6 seats, including 3 window seats for maximum views.
- Zip line across the Marina: fly across Dubai Marina on one of the longest urban zip lines in the world. It starts at a height of 170 meters, descends at a 16-degree gradient and reaches speeds of up to 80 km/h.
Minimum height 130 cm, weight between 50 and 100 kg.
