One of the first steps on the way to that longed-for holiday is searching for a flight. But how can you decide where to find cheap flights among the dozens of existing search engines? So let me share with you my favorite international flight search engine, the website Skyscanner. Why is Skyscanner the first place I search for flights? The site’s interface is user-friendly, and a clear advantage of the search engine is flexibility in searching: you can search for a flight to anywhere and on non-specific dates. The interface shows the flight prices in a monthly table, so you can choose the cheapest flight that month.

How to Find Cheap Flights on Skyscanner in 2026?
First of all, when searching for flights I recommend browsing in an ‘incognito’ window (it doesn’t save your search history).

Right-click the link and click “Open in incognito window”, as in the picture:

In the search bar on the Skyscanner website there are several parameters you need to pay attention to. These are parameters that will help you tailor the search results to your requirements.

When you choose a departure date, the prices for the return dates change. Choosing dates between June 16 to 20 yields a flight for only ₪250 (about $70).
Of course, bear in mind that the flight days are Saturday to Wednesday, so for people who work midweek it’s less suitable, and sometimes it’s better to pay more and not waste vacation days. Click “Show flight” and you reach a page with the flight details, such as the airline and the flight times.
I regularly post onthe blog’s Facebook page cheap flights when I find them.

Note that every company has its own fine print; there are sometimes cost differences because of currency conversions.
I always also go directly to the airline’s website to compare with the prices on the airline’s own site. Several times the price on the airline’s website was cheaper.
A champion’s tip: book only through the airline’s official website Sometimes third-party companies offer cheaper prices than the airlines, but it’s important to bear in mind that not all services will be available to you later on. If you want to add services (baggage or seat selection), it won’t always be possible. Another point is that if the flight is canceled or delayed, it will be harder to get compensation or a refund.
Now that you’ve learned the basics, you can level up and see how to save on flight costs. Click here: if you’re ready for the next step.
