Dog-Friendly Hiking Trails
When we travel in Israel, we try to bring Naska along.
Naska, my bestie, is a medium-sized dog (28 kg, 30 kg on lazier days) who’s very athletic and energetic.
Before you head out on a hike with your dog, I recommend testing your dog’s limits, making sure they know to stay out of the sun (look for shade), and remembering to bring enough water and food for them.
I even interviewed a vet to give us tips on keeping your dog safe on hikes.
I’ve gathered all the trails I’ve hiked with Naska and written about on the blog. Naska can swim, so note that if a trail is wet, your dog may need to be able to swim.
Note that dogs are allowed on all the trails in this post (in nature reserves they must be on a leash).

Shikmona Park
A national park in Haifa.
On the coastal plain at the southern end of Bat Galim.
Ein Tina
A wet hiking trail suitable for the whole family. A walk through a shallow stream.
Ramat HaNadiv
Dogs can't enter the Ramat HaNadiv gardens, but the surrounding park has great walking trails.

I’ve gathered all the possible hiking trails with dogs that I’ve written about on the blog.
Note! In the nature reserves where dogs are allowed, they must be leashed and muzzled.
